"A climate-just world—how can that work?" Anyone committed to social and ecological improvements will be familiar with this skeptical question. This book provides concrete answers: It shows paths to a (climate-)just future that begin in the here and now and rethink the interconnectedness of ecological and social issues.
The idea behind the building blocks for climate justice is to develop effective measures for socio-ecological transformation that can be implemented within the next five to ten years – beyond technical solutions and profit-driven logic. Each selected measure represents a distinct social transformation project characterized by three qualities: transformative, solidarity-based, and feasible.
The building blocks for climate justice were developed together with experts from social movements, academia, civil society, local politics, and trade unions. This collective knowledge is intended to inspire people to take action. This book is a resource for everyone who is active and everyone who wants to become active.
