We analyzed the election manifestos of the five major democratic parties from a climate justice perspective to determine the extent to which they are pursuing transformative policies consistent with the 1,5°C limit or are opting for a "business as usual" approach with a green veneer.
The result shows: climate justice is not a choice, but climate destruction is!
With this analysis, we aim to highlight the current inadequacy of mainstream party-political discourse relative to that necessary for climate justice. And we demonstrate what measures are truly needed to address the climate crisis.
