Care work – such as cooking, cleaning, childcare, caring for relatives, or providing emotional support in everyday life – is a central component of our social life. It ensures that people are cared for, relationships function, and community is possible. At the same time, a large part of this work remains invisible and unpaid, creating structural inequalities.
Talking about care work therefore also means talking about justice and economic independence. This is precisely where our event comes in: Together, we want to reflect on the role care work plays in our own lives, how it can be made more just and structured from a feminist perspective, and what that means for our own financial independence. The aim is to create space for exchange, to share experiences, and to make different perspectives visible.
Target Group
This event is aimed at all interested FLINTA individuals who wish to delve deeper into the topics of care work and economic (in)dependence. It will be held in German with Arabic translation.
We can cover travel expenses within Saxony.
