Democratic societies thrive on people contributing their visions of a desirable future and engaging in dialogue about them. At the same time, many people experience societal transformations as unsettling, conflict-ridden, or exhausting. Especially in times of crisis and upheaval, it can be helpful to integrate one's work into broader societal discourse.
This seminar aims to help you understand processes of change and reflect more consciously on your own stance. You will gain insights into societal transformation processes, their dynamics, and the role of civic engagement within them. Building on this foundation, you will further develop your own vision for a desirable future and work on communicating it clearly and convincingly. From this understanding of your own values and vision for the future, a democratic attitude will emerge, which we will develop and reflect upon together, empowering you in your work. The workshop's goal is to sharpen your own position and support you in contributing to societal change in a focused and sustainable way.
