Structural change is transforming regions in a lasting way – economically, socially, and culturally. Children and young people are directly affected by these developments and will play a key role in shaping the future of their regions. It is therefore all the more important to involve their perspectives early on and create genuine opportunities for participation. One important way to achieve this is by establishing children's and youth parliaments at the local and municipal levels.
Qualification series on children's and youth participation in structural change Professionals, municipalities, associations and committed individuals receive the necessary knowledge and practical tools to design participation processes in a target-group-oriented manner and to effectively involve young people.
The three-part training series combines professional fundamentals, tried and tested methods of democracy education and political education, and concrete support in developing one's own participation projects.
The qualification series is aimed at:

The training series is a project of Konzeptwerk, the Academy for Children's and Youth Parliaments in Saxony, in cooperation with the Bündnis StrukturWandeln (Alliance for Structural Change). The events are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) through the Federal Children and Youth Plan (KJP).
